SERVICE OVERVIEW

Floor screed is a thin top layer of material laid over an existing subfloor to provide a smooth, flat surface which other materials such as carpets, tiles or floorboards can be laid over.

Flooring is an essential aspect of home design (we all walk on it!) and if it is not properly structured, injuries can occur. Consideration into the right type of flooring is vital in order to prevent the risk of injury.

MORE DETAILS

In addition to traditional sand and cement floor screeds we can also supply and lay flowing screeds.

  • Traditional floor screeds

These are made of sand and cement and are available in a ready mixed form, delivered to site or loose materials that can be mixed on site. Additives such as screed fibres, rapid drying and waterproofing are often incorporated to satisfy specific requirements.

  • Liquid floor screeds

Also referred to as flowing or self-levelling screeds, these are specially formulated liquids which can be laid much thinner than a traditional sand and cement screed and are usually used to cover large surface areas, as this process can be completed quickly.
